Who is this Qualification designed for?

This course is recommended for Individuals involved in the production of UCFM regulated products & other high risk or related products. This unit presented will lead towards a qualification that is nationally recognised and is essential for all manufacturers. Participants will be able to demonstrate how to develop and apply UCFM principles and demonstrate skills needed to comply with Safe manufacturing practices.

Learning Strategies:

The qualification is delivered via e-learning or distance education using print base text.

What is e-learning?

Is computer based or on-line learning. You will be provided with on line access that will guide you through the unit. The services of a qualified IIFP trainer or personal “coach” will be available via email, web forum or telephone to support your ongoing learning needs providing you with one to one coaching and assistance. This e-Learning facilitator will support you as an e-Learner to achieve the objectives of the learning program.

About your facilitator:

IIFP facilitators are very experienced and are selected due to the fact that they possess all of the following:

  • Significant experience within the Smallgoods Manufacturing, Meat retail and training industry
  • A desire and commitment to help people achieve their goals
  • Personally hold the Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAA) and have relevant Food Safety Auditing Qualifications
  • An ability to induct each student personally into the program so that the student understands learning, assessment and auditing processes.

Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)?

We encourage people to apply for RPL. You may be able to supply us with evidence of prior training and learning undertaken by you that will gain you Recognition of Prior Learning – RPL and Credit Exemption for some or all of the required units of competency in this qualification. This can be provided through a portfolio of evidence.

Duration, Start time, Cost and Payment

Depending on your prior learning and experiences, the time required to complete this course will vary from person to person. We anticipate that it would take between 1 – 3 months to achieve the unit competencies. We set a maximum time frame of 12 months after which re-enrollment will be required.
