Congratulations to our Eastwood class who completed their workshop component of the qualification – Certificate II in Food Processing (Sales) FDF20911 – Tailored as an introduction to Café, Sales & Barista on Friday the 21st of November!

Congratulations to all students who participated and all who completed successfully! A broad mix of ages, backgrounds and different levels of experience made for an enjoyable class for all involved. The Certificate II in Food Processing (Sales) FDF20911 not only equips students with key skills and knowledge for the food & hospitality industry, it also helps to build student confidence, self esteem, social skills and employability skills to prepare them for work in the industry. There are many positions available in the industry for motivated and reliable individuals with a good skill level.

Employment opportunities include positions in the following:

  • Cafe’s
  • Restaurants
  • Catering businesses
  • Specialist barista roles
  • Food processing (there are many local companies in South Australia that produce a broad range of specialist food & beverages)
  • Supermarket fresh food/specialist areas
  • Bakeries
  • Large hotel chains in food, beverage & function roles e.g Intercontinetal, Sebel Playford, Mecure etc
  • Fast food establishments
  • Aged care kitchens/Child Care kitchens
