BreadCongratulations to our most recent class who have successfully completed the Certificate II in Food Processing “Intro to Retail Baking” at our Albert Park Kitchens Students now have the key skills needed to be job-ready for industries such as: Bakeries, Patisseries, Commercial Kitchens, Restaurants & Cafe’s.
Students have also built up their self-confidence, met new people and have benefited in learning from bakers with years of industry experience.
During the course the students learnt how to bake a wide range of products including the following:

  • Artisan breads such as Sourdough, Ciabatta, Baguettes, Wheat & Rye Breads.
  • Pies, Pasties, Sausage Rolls, Quiches and Pizza’s including making their own pastry & pizza dough.
  • Cheesecake, Chocolate Gateaux, Black forest Cake, Carrot Cake, Orange & Poppyseed Cake & Muffins.
  • A wide range of biscuits and cookies, including melting moments, macarons, fruit mince pies, Florentines and Anzac biscuits
  • Doughnuts, Cronuts, Kitchener buns, Berliners, Lamingtons, Finger buns, Apple & Apricot pies & turnovers.
